• Art. 9, cl. (4) of "REGULATION OF THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT OF ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT INTENDED TO BE USED IN CERTAIN VOLTAGE LIMITS" (Decree № 182 of МС/06.07.2002, publ. SJ, iss. 62/13.07.2001, Amend. SJ, iss. 74/22.08.2003, operating since 14.01.2003);
• BDS EN 45014 General criteria for declaration of conformity of the supplier (ISO/IEC Guide 22:1996).

The aim for using them is to support the understanding and application of the Regulation "Low-voltage equipment" in the section working out of a declaration of conformity. They do not have a legal authority! They cannot be used for relying on conformity or non-conformity to the regulation! The only reliable sources of conformity assessment of electrical appliances are the regulation texts the way they are published in the State journal.

The Declaration of conformity of electrical equipment is worked out in Bulgarian and should contain:

1. Name (Name and address/location of the person who puts the product on the market) of the manufacturer or his/her authorized representative;
2. Description of the electrical equipment (trade mark, type, serial number, etc.);
3. List of the regulations applied for the equipment approved on the basis of art. 7 of LTRP;
4. List of the Bulgarian standards that introduce the harmonized European standards which are applied;
5. List of the used Bulgarian standards and/or the name of the document containing a description of the used technical decisions according to art. 5, cl. 2 of the REGULATION;
6. Name (name and address/location) of the person authorized to elaborate an expert report of the conformity if needed;
7. The name and the position of the person authorized to sign the declaration on the behalf of the manufacturer or his/her authorized representative;
8. The last two figures of the year when there is a conformity marking.

The following model of declaration of conformity of electrical equipment is worked out in Bulgarian and in English. It is not obligatory to apply the given model! It is possible to issue a declaration of another form and with additional data. I recommend the data to be applied in the indicated order.
